My name is Alex and

I'm a graphic designer from Munich, Germany.

 

My particular expertise and passion relates to informationdesign, conception and the special requirements of intercultural design practices. For my Bachelor's degree I studied Communication Design at the University of Applied Sciences Augsburg and had a great experience while spending six months at the University of Ulster in Belfast, Northern Ireland. After graduating I wanted to concentrate on a more scientific view on design and so I finished my Master's degree in "Informationdesign" at the Fachhochschule Würzburg-Schweinfurt while working as a freelance designer part time. Since than I have been working for various clients and have been able to develope my skills every day a little bit further.

 

INFORMATIONDESIGN

 

I love to make data, numbers and information work in the most effective way through graphics. Infographic and educational or informative design helps us to understand the world with its processes and contexts. Within this potential lies the responsibility design has in means of transforming and moving society through knowledge.

 

CONCEPTION

 

I belief that great design evolves from an interdisciplinary approach implementing the thoughts and ideas of experts.

 

Some call it Design Thinking, some call it User-Centered Design, I like to call my design process Human-Centered Design. I put humans in the center of my design approach in order to develope customized, relevant and effective products, services and design solutions.

 

INTERCULTURAL DESIGN

 

In a world of globalisation there is a vibrant mix of cultures and ethnic groups. Especially designers need to be aware of the fact that their audience has distinguish moral concepts, living conditions and opinions. But intercultural design is more than using a certain color for an ethnic majority. It's about a certain sensitivity for valuable information and the situation of the people we are working for.
